The Day the Dock Fell

If something can go wrong... it might just happen...

On March 6, 2000 the winds shifted direction and blew from the West.  The harbor was battered by waves crashing over the seawall.  Shortly after 1:00pm on March 7th, Captain Mike got a call... the dock next to the Beachcomber had fallen into the harbor.  The TCI Public Works Department had been over to visit Salt Cay the week before and comment was made that repairs needed to be made.  This day, Salt Cay moved to the top of the list of repairs needed...

Captain Mike had been on watch at the dock off and on for the past 24 hours (along with other boat owners) to be sure that the boats were secured.  Shortly after returning home, the call came... the next three days would be spent in and out of the water trying to secure the vessels.  The lack of a dock for the Beachcomber poses a problem.
