February 23, 2001 - A view of the front of the house after we've brought some
plants over on the Beachcomber from Provo.  We believe we've got the yard fenced
in enough to keep wild cows, wild donkeys and the horses out...  Mike will leave the
side gate open a couple of times... and we will lock a black cow inside the yard one
night, but for the most part everything may survive - this year.

We save all our dish water, shower water and laundry water in a "gray-water"
tank, then pump it through a hose to water everything while we're here.  It's pretty
stinky water, but the plants seem to love it.

By the way - the black cow that we locked inside one night got so tired of eating
the green stuff that he finally knocked over the garbage and we found him the
next morning chewing on cardboard boxes and garbage...  fortunately I've planted
some stuff that cows won't eat.
