The Resurrection of a Boat

Wednesday April 26, 2000
The transmission and engine are working, fuel system has been upgraded, hydraulics have been installed for the bow door, etc. Time to push the boat in the water.

Right: Ken's backhoe, Mike driving and Bram assisting.
Left: Coral watching Mike take the straps off after lifting out the blocks from under the boat.

The word was spread that Mike would push the boat in the water today.  At 2:00pm the crowd gathered to watch and cheer him on.  After spending most of March, and all of April, seven days a week, working on the boat - the hour has arrived.

Uncle Lou sitting on the dock watching. Fred in the boat, Mike in the backhoe, Lionel, Bram and Ollie in the water, Richard on his bike, Bubba, Candy and Porter on the dock.  Not pictured but present are Coral, Tim, Jonathon, Rock, and I and I.
