The Resurrection of a Boat

Thursday, April 27, 2000

Left: Coral on port side of boat and Mike on dock, both of them have a grin from ear to ear!  Haitians checking out the wheel house and looking down the hatch into the engine room.

Right: Mike with smile on his face and a wrench in his hand to tighten the packing around the shaft. Lionel holding the boat with Coral standing by still smiling.

A great day's job.  The crowd begins to gather and talk over the resurrection of the boat while Foo (never far from Mike's side) watches the activities from the front seat of our buggy.

I have a hard time holding the camera still through all of this - the excitement and pride keep me hopping from one foot to the other, with a huge smile on my face.

Later in the evening Mike looks over the pictures and has a chance to really see the boat floating out into the water.  He was working so hard that he missed some of the fun.  What a guy!
